Girls Inc. of Southwestern CT offers a variety of essential educational programs such as Economic Literacy®, Media Literacy®, SMART®, Work Force Development, Social Competency, etc.
We strive to provide girls with tools that enable them to rise above any social, intellectual, and economic challenges that they may face as change agents of the coming generations. Our service area spans from Greater Greenwich to Greater Waterbury which includes Stamford, Greater Norwalk, Weston, Bridgeport, Watertown, Prospect and Beacon Falls.
The overall purpose of Girls Inc. of Southwestern CT (Girls Inc. of SWCT) is to inspire girls to be strong, smart, and bold and enable them to achieve their full potential. The main purpose and goal of our programming is to assure our girls' ability to become accomplished, financially independent, confident and responsible adults. Girls Inc. of SWCT is dedicated to actions that assure a better, more rewarding future for girls by reversing the negative statistics and uncertainty that affect the girls of today. We react to the needs of every girl and provide structure, support and guidance they need in order to learn, have fun, realize their dreams, and be the best they can be. We work hard to equip our girls with tools to discover that they can truly be and do anything.
In order to accomplish our goals, Girls Inc. of SWCT offers summer and after school programs in safe, girl only empowerment zones. Each girl can learn, explore, create, interact with peers and find ways how to overcome any challenges.
