Teen Leadership Program
What is the Teen Leadership program?
The Teen Leadership program is a group of teenage girls in high school
who not only volunteer and work
at Girls Inc. but also always follow the mission statement, to inspire
all girls to be strong, smart and bold.
Through this program, Teen Leaders will develop skills to succeed in
their personal, academic, and professional lives. Teen Leaders help
facilitate programs and then have an opportunity to run and manage their
own class.
Benefits of the Teen Leadership program.
The benefits of this teen leadership program
include applying for Girls Inc. scholarships, gain community/school volunteer
hours, and prepare for a job, possibly at Girls Inc. Also,this experience
will look great on college and work applications.
Teen Leaders will take college tours and participate in special events
throughout the year.
Qualities of a Teen Leader
A teen leader must display good judgment, and be a good role model for
the girls at Girls Inc.
as well as the girls in your community. Teen Leaders must show qualities
of being responsible, honest, and respectful and take pride in their position
as a teen leader. To be eligible as a teen leader,
requirements are: complete teen leader application, schedule an interview
and then if chosen, grades must be over a C+ average.
